There are many pregnancy diaries! We also have a journaling section in our Mommy Countdown book where you can write down all your thoughts about pregnancy. We'll tell you why keeping a pregnancy diary can be so incredibly fulfilling. Just try it out!
1. Capture memories
The time of pregnancy is something very special. Your body changes, your child grows inside you and you are already collecting the first beautiful memories with him or her. Use a pregnancy diary to do justice to the "diary" part: write down regularly or irregularly what happens to you in your everyday pregnancy and what experiences you share with your child. You can also stick in photos of yourself with your big belly or keep the ultrasound pictures of your baby. It is also great if you can look back on the time when you were pregnant later, once your child is a little bigger.
2. Get rid of feelings
Because pregnancy brings with it so much change, there are plenty of reasons to let your feelings out by writing. If you're super happy, just write it down in your pregnancy notebook. Or maybe you're annoyed by a saying you keep hearing or you're worried about how you can be the best mom in the world. Make things easier for yourself by writing down a few lines.
3. Track important habits
When it comes to the pregnancy bullet journal, you've probably already thought that a habit tracker, i.e. a table in which you can record certain actions per day, would be useful. For example, simply track your mood in your notebook, how long you slept, how much you want to drink during the day, whether you've included enough vitamins in your food, etc. Write down everything that seems important to you. But try not to overwhelm yourself with tracking.
4. creative balance
Another voice in favor of a pregnancy bujo is definitely the creative balance! By taking the time to design your personal book, you can find a moment of peace and enjoy what you can create with your hands. Use any materials you like to design: paper, pens, magazines, photos, watercolors, stickers, stamps, washi tapes and much more. Let your creative spirit run free.
5. Sweeten the waiting time
At the beginning, the 9 months until the birth can feel quite long. (Although the time passes faster than you would like. 😉) That's why keeping a pregnancy diary is a great activity that will accompany you throughout the time and prevent boredom from setting in. You can also easily incorporate working on your little book into your mindfulness routine.
6. Organisation is half the battle
During pregnancy, there are many appointments that need to be organized and you have probably already written down some checklists that you want to complete before the birth. A notebook or planner is therefore always a good idea to keep track of doctor's appointments, birth preparation courses, midwife visits, week changes, packing your hospital bag, etc. Organize yourself in a relaxed manner by writing lists and creating trimester overviews, for example.
